“Pablo Fanque's Fair” is the project in the field of visual arts based on photography that combines historical and contemporary techniques in aspiration to present in images a beauty that is physically tangible. Motive force of Pablo Fanque's Fair is the wish to penetrate in magical realism of surrounding reality instead of meaningless routine. The project's creativity is inspired by the highest meanings of life: Beauty, Love and Peace.

The project Pablo Fanque's Fair was created at the end of 2019 – beginning of 2020. The founder and the author is Leonid S. (born August 2, 1984, Yaroslavl, Russia).

The project's name was inspired by the line from the song of The Beatles “Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite!” where John Lennon quotes the old circus poster. This name reflects the “fairground” diversity of genres and themes in the body of work, as well as the use of historical techniques and alternative photographic processes (oil pigment print, wet plate collodion), employment of antique cameras and lenses.

Among the variety of genres of Pablo Fanque's Fair project the main ones are fine art nude and conceptual photography often merging together. The artworks of Pablo Fanque's Fair are experiments with structures and meanings representing various narratives: timeless and spaceless ideas of sensual corporeal beauty, which take on countless incarnations in the creative act of contact between light and forms, when the photographic process is likened to the creation of a sculpture that embodies an immaterial thought in stone; the personifications of environment like the spirits of nature from ancient mythology; projections of the mental processes, the depths of the subconscious and the individual myths about the inner and the outer world...
