Reality's Self-Sorption

A young man once said: “I absorb the surrounding reality by myself”. It was a curious saying. Why not? I observe, I absorb impressions from the outside world. But what if reality is also watching me, absorbing my impressions of observing reality? And if I am a part of this reality, does it mean that reality absorbs itself through me?
